Justice Minister Received a Courtesy Call from UNDP Administrator
Justice Minister Yamashita received a courtesy call from Mr. Achim Steiner, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on August 27, 2019.
Minister Yamashita welcomed Administrator Steiner to the Ministry of Justice of Japan and exchanged views to strengthen the friendly ties in the field of legal technical assistance between Japan and the UNDP, which takes action internationally towards achieving the SDGs. In addition, the Minister expressed his hope that Administrator Steiner would be able to participate in and address the 14th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which is to be held in Kyoto in 2020.
