 Members discussed issues for reforming the Civil Code (law of obligations) based on Material No.30 (distributed at the 32nd meeting) and No.31 (distributed at the 33rd meeting). Concrete issues discussed are as follows.

  1. Meaning of a condition precedent and a condition subsequent Extinctive prescription for a claim of periodic payments

  2. Legal relations during fulfillment of a condition is uncertain

  3. Impossible conditions (Article 133 of the Civil Code)

  4. Meaning of assigned time

  5. Forfeiture of benefit of assigned time (Article 137 of the Civil Code)

  6. Method of calculation of the period of time in a retroactive way

  7. Review of the provision on the last date of the time period
