For Victims Requesting Information on Persons under Medical Treatment and Supervision
In accordance with requests from victims, information is provided on persons under Medical Treatment and Supervision concerning the stage of treatment (in-patient treatment, out-patient treatment, end of treatment) and status of in-patient treatment of perpetrators.
Those who can petition for the provision of information
(1) Victims of acts prescribed in the Act on Medical Care and Treatment for Persons Who Have Caused Serious Cases Under the Condition of Insanity
(2) Legal representatives of (1)
(3) Spouse, lineal relatives or siblings when (1) died or suffered serious physical or mental harm
(4) Attorneys commissioned by (1)-(3)
(2) Legal representatives of (1)
(3) Spouse, lineal relatives or siblings when (1) died or suffered serious physical or mental harm
(4) Attorneys commissioned by (1)-(3)
Content of information provision
(1) Name of the perpetrator
(2) The stage of treatment (in-patient treatment, out-patient treatment, end of treatment) and the date of commencement or end of the treatment
(3) Name, location and contact information of the probation office which is(was) in charge of the case
(4) Contact with the perpetrator by the probation office during out-patient treatment
(the number of interviews during the last 6 months)

Implementation status
From July to December 2018, there were petitions for the provision of information from victims in the Medical Treatment and Supervision, and information was provided in 12 cases.
