Minister of Justice’s Visit to the Kingdom of Thailand
Mr. SUZUKI Keisuke, Minister of Justice of Japan, visited the Kingdom of Thailand from January 12 to January 15, 2025.
Minister Suzuki met with H.E. Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Thailand and exchanged views on measures to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of Thailand and the Ministry of Justice of Japan.
Minister Suzuki also visited the Sirindhorn Vocational Training Center, which was built with the cooperation of Japan and currently serves as a model juvenile correctional facility in Thailand, and observed the practices of rehabilitation and education of juveniles.
In addition, Minister Suzuki met with the representatives from International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to discuss the reception of refugees and displaced persons and the support provided to them.
