　On November 24, 2025, a commemorative ceremony marking past JICA projects and a new era of cooperation between Japan and Vietnam in the field of law and justice was held in Hanoi, Vietnam, bringing together relevant parties from both countries. On this occasion, State Minister of Justice MITANI attended to review and evaluate the achievements of the legal technical assistance, which has been implemented for over 30 years with the cooperation of the Ministry of Justice of Japan. At the ceremony, State Minister of Justice MITANI emphasized the importance of Japan and Vietnam further enhancing their cooperation in the field of law and justice through legal technical assistance and new joint research initiatives.

　State Minister of Justice MITANI held a talk with Vietnamese Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh, exchanging views on strengthening cooperation between Japan and Vietnam. He also visited the Legal Technical Cooperation Project Office to exchange opinions with JICA long-term experts.
