Courtesy Visit to the Minister of Justice by the President of the International Criminal Court (ICC)

　On 14 January 2026, Mr. HIRAGUCHI Hiroshi, Minister of Justice of Japan received a courtesy visit by Ms. AKANE Tomoko, the President of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

　Minister HIRAGUCHI paid tribute to the efforts of President AKANE to maintain and strengthen the rule of law in the international community and conveyed that the Ministry of Justice will continue to provide firm support for the activities of the ICC in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
