　On 6 April 2026, Mr. MITANI Hidehiro, State Minister of Justice of Japan, received a courtesy visit by the delegation of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection of the German Federal Parliament.

　State Minister Mitani and Mr. Carsten Müller, head of the delegation, exchanged views on the use of AI in the legal field and reaffirmed that the Ministry of Justice of the two countries would maintain and further develop their cooperative relationship in the field of law and justice.
