Minister of Justice’s Visit to the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan

　Mr. SUZUKI Keisuke, Minister of Justice of Japan, visited the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan from 29 April to 3 May 2025.
The details are as follows:

　During the visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, Minister Suzuki met with H.E. Mr. Adylbek Aleshovich Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, and H.E. Mr. Ayaz Batyrkulovich Baetov, Minister of Justice and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, respectively, and the Ministers exchanged views on topics such as strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of law and justice between Japan and the Kyrgyz Republic in each meeting.
　In the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister Suzuki met with H.E. Mr. Akbar Djurabayevich Tashkulov, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and exchanged views on strengthening partnership in the field of law and justice between Japan and the Republic of Uzbekistanl, among other matters.
　Minister Suzuki also met with H.E. Ms. Tanzila Kamalovna Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and H.E. Mr. Bakhtiyor Odilovich Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and in each meeting, exchanged views on strengthening ties between Japan and Uzbekistan in the law and justice field as well as other international affairs, and shared the importance of the rule of law.
　In addition, in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister Suzuki visited Research and Education Center for Japanese Law (CJL) which is in cooperation with the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Justice of Japan (ICD) engaging in legal technical assistance, and met local students studying Japanese Law in Japanese language.
