Justice Minister delivers statement at the Second International Legal Forum “Tashkent Law Spring” (April 22, 2021)
On April 22, 2021, Minister Kamikawa participated in the Second International Legal Forum “Tashkent Law Spring” on the theme of “Law 4.0. The Vision of Law in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution” organized by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
In her video statement, Minister Kamikawa emphasized the importance of this meeting in sharing knowledge among legal experts regarding ICT innovation because of its significant influence on global society. Currently, the Ministry of Justice of Japan is accelerating efforts to further enhance digitalization and the use of information technology in the field of justice and law enforcement.
Minister Kamikawa also stated the necessity to understand both positive and negative effects of ICT innovation, and the importance of taking measures, such as amending rules and regulations, to address social changes.
