Justice Minister Received Courtesy Call from Ambassador of the Commonwealth of Australia to Japan
On 25 March 2022, Minister Furukawa received a courtesy call from H.E. Ms. Jan Adams, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of Australia to Japan.
Ambassador Adams and Minister Furukawa discussed the current situation in Ukraine and confirmed that, as strategic partners that share fundamental values such as the rule of law and respect for fundamental human rights, Australia and Japan will work together to promote these values in the international community and contribute to upholding the rules-based international order. Ambassador Adams and Minister Furukawa also discussed measures to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries in the field of legal affairs and justice.
