Minister of Justice Meets with the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)
On July 25, 2022, Minister of Justice FURUKAWA Yoshihisa met with Ms. Ghada Fathi Waly, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) at the Ministry of Justice.
Minister Furukawa welcomed Executive Director Waly who served as the Secretary-General of the Kyoto Congress. The Minister and the Executive Director exchanged views on the follow-up to the Kyoto Declaration, as well as further cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the UNODC to promote global initiatives in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice.
