Minister of Justice’s Visit to the Federal Republic of Germany and the Italian Republic
Mr. SAITO Ken, the Minister of Justice, visited the Federal Republic of Germany and the Italian Republic on 2-6 May 2023.
In Germany, Minister Saito met with H.E. Mr. Marco Buschmann, the Federal Minister of Justice, and visited the Tegel Prison.
In Italy, Minister Saito met with H.E. Ms. Paola Severino, the former Minister of Justice, H.E. Mr. Carlo Nordio, the Minister of Justice, and H.E Ms. Margherita Cassano, the President of the Supreme Court of Italy. He also visited the Department of Prison Administration in the Ministry of Justice.
Minister Saito exchanged views with the Ministers of Justice on the agenda and outcome documents of the G7 Justice Ministers’ Meeting and the ASEAN-G7 Justice Ministers’ Interface, to be held in July in Tokyo. Ministers elaborated on their priority areas and shared their views towards the success of the Meetings.
