Courtesy Call to the State Minister of Justice by the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe

　On October 10, 2023, Mr. KAKIZAWA Mito, State Minister of Justice received a courtesy visit by Mr. Bjørn BERGE, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

　State Minister Kakizawa welcomed Deputy Secretary General Berge and explained about the “Anti-Corruption Task Force for Ukraine” (ACT for Ukraine) initiative, which the G7 Justice Ministers’ Meeting held this year agreed to establish. Moreover, they agreed that Japan and the Council of Europe will work closely together to further strengthen their support for Ukraine to fight corruption.
