Follow-Up Seminar to the Judicial Symposium on Intellectual Property (JSIP) (Participation is free)

A follow-up seminar to the Judicial Symposium on Intellectual Property 2019 will be held by the Ministry of Justice of Japan.
 
The Ministry of Justice of Japan has held the symposium since 2017, jointly with the Supreme Court, the Intellectual Property High Court, the Japan Patent Office, the Japan Federation of Bar Associations and the IP Lawyers Network Japan. At the JSIP 2019, judges and attorneys from all ASEAN member countries as well as Australia, China, India, the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and Japan met together to conduct mock trials and panel discussions.
 
The seminar will be held for Laos and Myanmar as a follow-up to the JSIP 2019. This is the first time to hold a follow-up seminar. The aim is to enhance the capacity of the intellectual property field of ASEAN as a whole, and to provide information on the resolution of intellectual property disputes to legal professionals and private companies that operate overseas. At the seminar, based on topics that meet the needs of each country, participants will make presentations and exchange opinions, which should provide a very significant opportunity for deepening mutual understanding of intellectual property dispute resolution and  further enhancing the intellectual property system.  The seminar will be held online between Laos and the Ministry of Justice of Japan, and between Myanmar and the Ministry of Justice of Japan, respectively.
