International Cooperation regarding Correctional Facility Architecture

　The Facilities Division of the Minister’s Secretariat plays a central and leading role in managing the Asian Conference of Correctional Facilities Architects and Planners (ACCFA) as a member country in order to share information on the latest technologies related to correctional architecture with Asian countries and contribute to improving their technical levels. The 8th conference was held from October 28 to November 1, 2019 in Tokyo.
　In addition, technical assistance has been provided to the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of the Philippines, and other countries. Examples of facilities constructed with the technical assistance of the Facilities Division are the Sirindhorn Vocational Training School in Thailand, and the Muntinlupa Juvenile Training Center in the Philippines.
