Transportation Information
(for Oversea Participants)

Participants who are subject to the "Special Measures for Entry into Japan for Participants for the Kyoto Congress from Abroad" (here in after called "oversea participants") cannot use public transport (train, taxi, etc.) after entering Japan, so they will be moved by vehicles provided by the host country.

Airport Shuttle Bus Service

  • During the period from March 5 (Fri) to 8 (Mon), a free shuttle bus service will be provided for oversea participants to transport from the Kansai International Airport to the hotels in Kyoto City (which are designated for accommodation of oversea participants).
  • The free shuttle bus service will also be available from Kyoto City area to Kansai International Airport when oversea participants depart from Japan.
  • This free shuttle bus service is only available to and from the Kansai International Airport.
  • The schedule for the free shuttle bus service will be adjusted to meet the arrival/departure times of oversea participants. Please acknowledge that you may need to wait some minutes.
  • This free shuttle bus service is for oversea participants only. It is not available to participants from within Japan (participants from multiple countries/organizations may be on the same bus).
  • Secretariat staff will guide you to the free shuttle bus stop on the day.
  • In order to prevent coronavirus infection, you must wear a mask when you board a free shuttle bus.
  • We will take infection prevention measures for the free shuttle buses before use, including interior disinfection, installation of a shielding sheet behind the driver's seat, eradication of bacteria by using ozone generators. We also pay close attention to checking health condition of the drivers.

Shuttle Bus Service in Kyoto City

  • From March 7 (Sun) to 12 (Fri), a free shuttle bus service will be provided to and from designated hotels for oversea participants, the Kyoto International Conference Center and other Kyoto Congress-related locations. The bus stops, schedule and route for this free shuttle bus will be informed later.
  • This free shuttle bus service is for oversea participants only. It is not available to participants from within Japan (participants from multiple countries/organizations may be on the same bus).
