Special Events for "Justice Affairs Diplomacy" Ministerial Forum

 Special events are discussions and presentations organized by the MOJ, ASEAN member states or international organizations on topics that are in connection with the themes for the ASEAN-Japan Special Meeting of Justice Ministers.
 During the events, participants such as government officials, experts, individuals working at international organizations and non-governmental organizations, will discuss and share their views on topics such as the rule of law and the respect for human rights, and will share their various initiatives to the international community.

ASEAN-G7 Justice Ministers’ Interface

 The MOJ will host the G7 Justice Ministers’ Meeting back to back with the ASEAN-Japan Special Meeting of Justice Ministers. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the MOJ will convene the G7-ASEAN Justice Ministers’ Interface (Interface) which brings together the Ministers of Justice and Attorneys of General of both ASEAN and G7 countries. The Interface will aim to share and uphold the fundamental value such as the Rule of Law, as well as build strong relationship based on trust between ASEAN and G7, under the discussion theme of“Strengthening mutual cooperation between ASEAN and G7 in the field of law and justice”.
 This Interface will be the first-ever meeting which assembles the Minister-level participants from both ASEAN and G7 member states.

ASEAN-Japan Special Youth Forum

 The MOJ will co-host the Special Youth Forum for Promoting the Rule of Law with the Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) on the sidelines of ASEAN-Japan Special Meeting of Justice Ministers, during which Japanese and ASEAN youths are to discuss the Rule of Law.
 This Forum aims to empower youths from Japan and ASEAN Member States as torch-bearers of the next generation through providing them with opportunity to discuss and get to know each other better, encouraging them to build long-lasting partnerships providing opportunities for them to present their recommendations at the Ministers’ Meeting so that their voices will be heard by the international community.
