Human Rights Achievement Awards

The human rights achievement award is given to an entity or a person who contributes notably to human rights protection and promotion activities by the Minister of Justice and the head of the National Federation of Associations of Human Rights Volunteers.

The award was established in 2006 and started to make commendations annually from 2007 for the purpose of furthering activities in consideration of human rights.

In addition, the special award for human rights achievement was created in 2015, which is given to a group or a person who contributes notably to human rights activities toward the realization of “universal society,” where all citizens understand differences such as race and disability and tolerate and recognize such differences mutually.
