Network Associations of Human Rights Awareness-raising Activities

The networks of human rights awareness-raising activities aim to promote comprehensive and effective human rights awareness-raising activities by cooperating with human rights bodies of the Ministry of Justice, the local governments, human rights volunteers organizations and other related organizations and groups, depending on their individual roles.

In order to achieve this purpose, prefectural and regional networks associations of human rights awareness-raising activities have been established in each prefecture or municipality. The secretariat of each network is set within a Legal Affairs Bureau, District Legal Affairs Bureau or its branch.

Main members of network associations of human rights awareness-raising activities are the Legal Affairs Bureau/ District Legal Affairs Bureau, the prefectural government/ the municipal government, the Prefectural Association of Human Rights Volunteers/ the Human Rights Volunteers Council, branches of national governmental organizations, other human rights related organizations and groups.
