Human Rights Awareness-raising Activities in Association with Private Companies

The human rights bodies of the Ministry of Justice have conducted various awareness-raising activities in association with famous private companies in a respective area so that citizens pay more attention to human rights awareness-raising activities.

Human Rights Awareness-raising activities in association with Yoshimoto Kogyo CO., LTD

The human rights bodies of the Ministry of Justice have conducted human rights awareness- raising activities in association with Yoshimoto Kogyo CO., LTD which makes efforts to CSR activities through entertainment by the power of “Warai,” or laughing.

At a live performance of standup comedy held by Yoshimoto Kogyo nationwide, Human Rights Volunteers and Human Rights Promotion Characters, Jin-KEN-Mamoru-Kun and Jin-KEN-Ayumi-Chan, introduce human rights counseling centers and the Human Rights Volunteers system on a stage with comedians and distribute human rights awareness-raising booklets for visitors.

Human Rights Lectures in collaboration with “Smartphone and mobile phone safety lectures” held by mobile phone providers

Coping with human rights violations on the Internet which have developed into a serious problem for youth, the human rights bodies of the Ministry of Justice have conducted human rights lectures in collaboration with “Smartphone and mobile phone safety lectures” held by mobile phone providers such as NTT docomo in elementary schools and junior high schools nationwide.

In the lecture, an instructor of a mobile phone provider talks about how to use smartphones and mobile phones appropriately and Human Rights Volunteers talk about human rights problems including bullying using SNS or free apps and revenge-porn. Human Rights Volunteers also call for using the internet with respect for human rights.

Human Rights Awareness-raising activities in association with All Japan Business Committee

Toward the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic games in 2020, the human rights bodies of the Ministry of Justice have made efforts to develop the “mental barrier-free” and have conducted human rights awareness-raising activities in association with the “All Japan Business Committee” established mainly by three business groups.

The lectures have combined experience-based lectures and oral lectures. In the experience-based lectures, students ride a wheel chair or play wheel chair basketball and boccia and, in oral lectures, Human Rights Volunteers give a talk on the human rights of persons with disabilities and mental barrier-free.
