Press Coverage of the “Justice Affairs Diplomacy” Ministerial Forum (ASEAN-Japan Special Meeting of Justice Ministers (AJSMJ), ASEAN-G7 Justice Ministers’ Interface, and G7 Justice Ministers' Meeting)

All press staff / journalists (including those who are accompanying the delegation of a certain country) wishing to cover the “Justice Affairs Diplomacy” Ministerial Forum (Forum) must register in advance.

 Detailed information on the press coverage will be provided to those who have completed the registration.
 Due to limited seating capacity, some press staff / journalists may not enter the rooms.

2 Press Registration

 Press staff / journalists (including those who are accompanying the delegation of a certain country) wishing to cover the Forum must register their names and email addresses online using the registration form below, which must be applied by the representative of the press organisation. To register the names of staff, the following items are required:
 1) Full-face photo (colour, JPEG format);
 2) ID card showing the face (colour, JPEG format); and
 3) Certificate of employment in PDF format issued by the press organisation (written in English or Japanese only).
 An email will be sent to each of the email addresses entered in the registration application. At this point, the registration is NOT YET complete. When the registration has been approved, another email (“Registration Confirmation Email”) will be sent to the registered email addresses, notifying that the registration is complete. This email will be sent by 26 June 2023.

4 Press ID badges

 Press ID badges will be distributed near the entrance of the Venue during the Forum. When receiving the press ID badges, following items need to be presented.
  • Receiving press ID badges on behalf of all the staff / journalists of the press organisation (※)
  • “Registration Confirmation Email” that includes names of all the staff / journalists who are to receive press ID badges (on a mobile screen or printed copy)
  • Identification with photo
  • Certificate of employment issued by the press organisation of the person who receives the badges
  • Receiving press ID badges individually
  • “Registration Confirmation Email” of your own (on a mobile screen or printed copy)
  • Identification with photo
  • Certificate of employment issued by the press organisation, if applicable
※We recommend that the representatives of the Press receive press ID badges on behalf of their staff / journalists if possible.

 Press staff / journalists are required to wear the press ID badges at all the time during the Forum. In addition, for security reasons, those who are in the Venue may be asked to present their proof of ID, and therefore press staff / journalists should also carry it all the time. Please note that those without a press ID badge or a proof of ID will not be allowed to cover the Forum.

5 Notes

 Application for and issuance of press ID badges do not support or guarantee the acquisition of a visa to entry into Japan.
 Press staff / journalists accompanying the delegation of a certain county should also register their names and email addresses through the press registration form. Please note that those who have registered through the delegation registration form will not be allowed to cover the Forum as a press.
