Can I claim payment even during a separation before divorce?

チルドレン・ファースト
In principle, even during a separation before divorce, both husband and wife must share the cost of living until their divorce is legally granted. If either party does not pay the cost of living or child support, the other party may claim the payment as marital expenses. For example, expenses necessary for food, clothing and housing, medical expenses, as well as expenses for child support if any dependent child exists, are included in the marital living expenses.
